What inspired you to pursue a career in supporting individuals with disabilities?

I wanted to pursue a career that complements my natural nurturing and empathetic personality. I find it rewarding to assist participants in reaching their personal goals, I value person centered care and find it rewarding supporting participants through their decisions, choices and any challenges along the way.

What is your work history?

Before transitioning to the disability sector, I ran a home-based babysitting service, gaining valuable experience over seven years. Alongside this, I have a diverse background that includes experience in retail, gardening, and other various roles.

What do you enjoy most about working in the Function Lifestyle Group programs?

I love the flexibility of the programs at Function Lifestyle Group, as they can be tailored to each participant’s interests while supporting them in achieving their goals. It’s an amazing feeling when you see their happiness and joy shining through.

I love working with my hands and enjoy assisting with a variety of craft activities, including some sewing projects. I also have many years of experience in gardening and outdoor activities.

What are three words you would use to describe your personality?
