Rajesh Rajappan
Disability Support Facilitator
What inspired you to pursue a career in supporting individuals with disabilities?
I am inspired by a strong desire to make a positive impact in people’s lives and to advocate for equal rights and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
What is your work history?
I bring over 15 years of experience in engineering, including mechanical, software, electrical, and marine fields. While I’ve enjoyed the challenges of that industry, I’ve always been drawn to work that makes a more direct impact on people’s lives. That’s what led me to become a disability support facilitator, where I can support individuals more personally and meaningfully.
What do you enjoy most about working in the Function Lifestyle Group programs?
What I love most about working in the Function Lifestyle Group Programs is the amazing sense of teamwork and connection. Being part of such a multicultural group, where everyone brings their own unique skills, values, beliefs, and creativity, makes it a special and inspiring place to be.
What particular skills/interests do you have that you can share with the participants?
I love sharing the values of staying curious, always seeking new knowledge, and finding creative solutions to challenges. I’m passionate about innovation and problem-solving, but above all, I’m driven by a genuine desire to help and support our clients in meaningful ways.
What are three words to describe your personality?
Kind. Supportive. Adaptable.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I love travelling and exploring new places, capturing moments through photography, and spending time in nature—whether it’s gardening, fishing, or hiking. I also enjoy yoga for balance and relaxation, and most of all, I cherish quality time with my loved ones and family.
